Every flight to Tel Aviv was cancelled. United Airlines Flight 954 left San Francisco for Israel on Friday evening and returned near Greenland, according to flight tracking company FlightAware. Lufthansa Group announced that all of its flights to Tel Aviv, including Swiss International Air Lines and Austrian Airlines, have been suspended from Monday.
“We are continuously monitoring the security situation in Israel and are in close contact with the authorities,” Lufthansa said in a statement. “Passenger and crew safety is Lufthansa’s first priority.”
El Al said on Sunday that its flights were “operating as planned”.
El Al and other airlines also offer travel relief for passengers who cancel or cancel their trips.
